Condo Size small but have everything.

Posted by Quiet Condo on May 4, 2011

Just Shifted to D Chateau for 1 months plus. Spend 50k on the renovation, All bay windows were used up building bed to save space. Two children now have their own room. All spaces were carefully planned to accomodate 1 wet and 1 dry kitchen. The maid got her own room too. The hall good enough for a family of four member. Overall I am very satisfy with the unit (900 sqft) arrangement. much better then my last apartment @ 1033 sqft. Facility can be improve once management is set up. lack of pool chair with umbrella and BBQ pit . that all.
I recommend this building for: Mixed Uses (e.g. Office/Shopping/Cinema/Hotel/Flat), Commercial/School, Market/Food Center/Restaurant, and .

Space too small to be usable

Posted by Ariga Toh on Mar 29, 2011

Recently rented a unit in this condo, looks fine initially but realised that is it so small that its almost unusable after we in in a queen size bed in the master bedroom. Bay windows takes up to one fifth of each room, which explains why it looks ok when it is empty. When you put in the beds, you are left with barely 2' of walking space around the bed.
Living area is 2m long and 3m wide, which can't contain a normal 3 seater sofa, dining and bath rooms are just ok, all units come with good size balcony and planters though.
Communal facilities and landscaping is the worst I've seen for a 'Condo' development, there's not even a chair on the pool deck let alone an umbrella, and only cheap young trees are planted which will only provide shades 10 years later, guess that the developer is super conscious on development cost.
The asking price psf of around $1200 may sound cheap for this location, but much of the space you will be paying for is not really usable. And the space between my unit and the new development next door is like only 5m apart, definitely no privacy at all with all the construction worker peeking into my unit. It is definitely a wrong decision for me to move into this development, sigh......
I recommend this building for: .

Scenic living in quiet neighbour

Posted by Hang S on Mar 26, 2011

Small development built on the higher ground of Shelford road. Peaceful neighbour with mostly low rise condo and landed houses. However, if you do not own a car, the walk uphill can be tiring.

Pool is big relative to the no. of units in the condo and a good size children pool and jacuzzi pool. Children playground is small and this place is probably more for young couples without kids.

Regardless of 2 or 3 bedder or penthouse, the living room is of the same size and is very small. bay window takes up alot of space in the bedroom.

However, i still like the place as this place is reasonable priced though not on the cheap side.
I recommend this building for: Market/Food Center/Restaurant and .
