Hidden gem in D15! Best value and no regrets.

Posted by AK on May 8, 2012

Been living here for 3 years now and its a great place! The negative reviews are bull-shit. The people are warm and friendly, good camaraderie and condo atmosphere with nice mix of Local / Asian / Western families, full condo facilities, new + improved + proactive Management (Savills), fantastic local & International schools within 5 mins walking distance, amazing food eateries and dining-out options at Tanjong Katong Road and East Coast Road - again within very short walking distance. People drive down from all over Singapore to eat here! Huge field opposite for outdoor activities like soccer, cricket, kite-flying etc and East Coast Park is a 5 min drive. 7 min drive to CBD and 15-20 mins by Public Transport during non-peak hours. Prime D15 FREEHOLD property with spacious, bright and large living areas unlike the recent new developments. What more could you ask for?!!!
I recommend this building for: Mixed Uses (e.g. Office/Shopping/Cinema/Hotel/Flat), Convention/Exhibition, Commercial/School, Market/Food Center/Restaurant, Entertainment, , and .

Poor Management

My husband and I have been living here for 2 years now. I found that the management is really poor and we are planning to get out of here asap!

POOR MAINTENANCE

Posted by Tan Andrew on May 26, 2011

I am intending to purchase a property in Dist 15 and heard about Haig Court. With its reasonable price range of $1200psf, good location to eateries and nearby schools. I arranged to view the condo in the coming weekends with the agent. Coincidently, one afternoon passing by, I decided to view the facade and facilities of the condo. The facade seems rather old and rundown, however painting of the condo was in progress, which was much needed. As there are other brand new developments coming up beside and opposite the condo.
I drove pass the visitor's access gate without any questions asked, indeed shocking. Security guard on duty dressed shabbily and was too busy on his phone. A negative image for their relax security system , for their visitors.
Residents basement carpark looked gloomy , with almost 50% of the lights not on or out of order. Some lights were even flickering. Swimming pool and gym looked old , dull and of poor maintenance.
The clubhouse was a disappointment, looked more like a store room full of stacks chairs and tables and nothing else. There is no recreational space for indoor facilities or sofa corner to relax unlike other condos. Tennis court seem dirty and poorly maintained. Too much of noise and pollution from nearby construction.
Although Haig Court is a 7 years old property, it seems more like a 20 year old development. With its dull facade and poor maintenance of its facilities. With such negative image from the outside, have decided not to proceed with the viewings of the units. The condo is a disappointment and definitely not measurable for its price . Needs improvement and better maintenance. A honest feedback for future buyers.

Maximum space

Posted by Epi Gram on Mar 11, 2010

The units here are "honest". No bay windows, no balconies, no household / bomb shelters. Every room is rectangular and (at least for the unit I viewed) even the utility / maid's room has a window. Rooms look about double the size of newer condos.

Exterior and common areas are quite well maintained for a condo of 4-5 years and it is not located along a major road so there is little road noise. But this means that you have to walk about 5 minutes to the nearest bus stop. There is also no MRT withing walking distance - but that can be said of any condo in the Amber/Meyer area.

Driving wise, it is just off the second exit on the ECP so it's a maybe 10-20 minute drive to Suntec/Marina. It is not so convenient to Orchard / Scotts though.

Compared to newer condos, there is ample parking for visitors. I'm told that there are about 360 basement lots for 360 units and there are another 70+ lots on the surface.

It has full facilities - two tennis courts, swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi pool - but the pool looks a little crowded on weekends with children's swimming lessons. Based on the children / mothers at the swimming lesson, the resident mix includes Indian, Japanese and Korean expats.

The eateries along Tanjong Katong Road are about 5 minutes walk away and those along East Coast Road are slightly further away. Parkway Parade is probably too far to walk but only a 5 minute drive away.
I recommend this building for: Mixed Uses (e.g. Office/Shopping/Cinema/Hotel/Flat), Commercial/School and Market/Food Center/Restaurant.

Peaceful Haven

Posted by Jeffrey Lee on Jan 26, 2010

Visited the condo recently and immediately fell in love with it. For 360 units with 4 towers, it occupies a reasonably large piece of land, making it tranquil and peaceful.

The location is ideally tucked away from the main junctions, and yet close enough to all the amenities and happenings in the area. Also, the asking price is reasonable given the current market frenzy.
I recommend this building for: Mixed Uses (e.g. Office/Shopping/Cinema/Hotel/Flat), Commercial/School and Market/Food Center/Restaurant.

Haig Court- Jewel of Dist 15

Posted by Aruna Malhan on Oct 31, 2008

Haig Court is an unknown Jewel of Dist 15. Being a new condo not many people know about it.
It's a :
5-10 mts walk to nearby schools- TKGS,TKPS and TKSS, plus newly opened Canadian Sch and Chatsworth Sch.
7-10mts walk to Katong Shopping Ctre, Parkway Parade.
5-10 mts walk to Katong eateries
5-10mts drive to the City- Suntec city, City Hall,Rafflesplace etc.
So close to all ameneties, yet away frm the conjestions, constructions, noisy traffic !!!
Having good facilities - it's a Haven for families !!
I recommend this building for: Mixed Uses (e.g. Office/Shopping/Cinema/Hotel/Flat), Convention/Exhibition, Commercial/School, Market/Food Center/Restaurant, Entertainment, , and .
